Ways to Use Essential Oils:


Relaxing_Bath

Bath and Shower: 

Add 10 – 15 drops to a full bath. Inhale vapors deeply while bathing. Oils will also be absorbed by the skin. While showering, add 3 drops of oil to a face cloth or sponge and rub briskly over body, or place drops of Essential Oil on a cloth on the floor and let the steam of the shower spread the aroma. Add 10-15 drops to your hot tub or Jacuzzi!

Suggested Essential Oils for Bath and Shower:

Relaxation – lavender or sandalwood make great choices prior to bedtime.

Energizing – peppermint, eucalyptus, and rosemary are wonderful to get you going first thing in the morning.

Uplifting – sweet orange, bergamot, grapefruit, and clary sage can give you a boost of cheer when you need it most.

Environmental Fragrance: 

With a Diffuser:

Add 3 drops of oil to the reservoir of your diffuser, let the essence of your chosen essential oils spread around the room. Keep a small Mist with you to freshen and awaken your mind; always use an oil that is stimulating and balancing in the car.

Types of Diffusers: Diffusers for your Car, Ultrasonic Diffusers, Evaporative Diffusers, or Heat Diffusers.

Without a Diffuser:

Add 3 drops of oil to the melted wax part of a candle – do not put directly on flame. Add 10 – 15 drops to water in the bowl of a glass or pottery room diffuser. Try adding 5 drops to a light bulb ring or place directly on a light bulb. Boil water in pot, remove from heat and add 10-15 drops of oil into the hot water.

Furniture Polish and Household Uses: 

For laundry add 10 drops into your washer before cycle starts. Place 10 drops of oil on a cloth and insert with clothes in the dryer. Add a few drops of oil to a full sink every time you wash dishes. Place a cotton ball with 15 drops of Essential Oil in the vacuum bag. Combine 30 – 60 drops of oil with 60 ml of water and 60 ml of vinegar for glass cleaning.

Suggested Essential Oils for Household Use:

Essential Oils like Eucalyptus,Tea Tree and Lemon are most effective for cleaning.

Hair Care: 

Try adding 8 – 10 drops for every 30 ml (1oz) of hair care product. Infuse your hair with wonderful smells, or get the scalp care benefits of certain oils.

For Normal Hair – Lavender, Rosemary, Lemon, Geranium, Cedarwood, or Clary Sage Essential Oils are best hair that is neither greasy nor dry, has not been permed or colored, and that holds its style and is usually shiny.

For Dry Hair – Lavender, Rosemary, Sandalwood, or Geranium Essential Oils is good for hair that looks dull, tangles easily and can become easily split at the ends. Therefore, essential oils that stimulate the sebaceous glands in the scalp to produce more oil or best.

For Oily Hair – Lavender, Rosemary, Lemon, Peppermint, or Cypress Essential Oils are best.

Inhalation: 

Put 1 or 2 drops on a tissue or handkerchief and inhale deeply. The tissue may also be inserted inside your pillowcase while sleeping for deeper relaxation. Try adding 3 drops of oil to a sink of hot water, and cover your head with a towel soaked in this water then inhale vapors deeply through your nose.

Massage and Body Oil: 

Add 15 – 20 drops of Essential Oil to 30ml (1oz) of carrier oil and apply to body evenly, or through massage. Adding oil to a carrier oil ensures that the oil is properly diluted and makes it safe for the skin.


perfume

Perfume: 

Mix Essential Oil with a carrier oil for perfume. Use 5 – 15 drops of Essential Oil for every tablespoon of Carrier Oil.


Skin Care: 

Add 10 drops for every 30 ml (1oz) of skin care product (moisturizing cream or lotion base).


Compression: 

Add 6 – 8 drops of oil to a bowl of warm water. Soak cloth in water and apply to injured or sore part of the body.
